This post tests the capabilities of MathJax, a JavaScript display engine for mathematics, that I plan to use frequently on this site. Below are some simple (though mostly non-sensical) examples, the results of which seem satisfactory.
$$\int_{-\infty}^{\infty} \left|\Gamma(x+\delta) - \left(\sum_{i=0}^{N} x^2\right)\right| dy $$ $$\frac{d}{dx} e^{-ikx} \neq ike^{-ikx}\frac{\sum_{i=1}^{\alpha} \omega^2 \delta_{ij}}{\beta \int_{-1}^{x^{\frac{3}{2}}} \cos(x) dx} $$
When \(a \neq 0\), there are two solutions to \(ax^2 + bx + c = 0\) and they are $$x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}$$
MathJax was recommended to me years ago by a friend; you can read more about it here.
