This post tests the capabilities of MathJax, a JavaScript display engine for mathematics, that I plan to use frequently on this site. Below are some simple (though mostly non-sensical) examples, the results of which seem satisfactory.
$${\int }_{-\mathrm{\infty }}^{\mathrm{\infty }}|\mathrm{\Gamma }(x+\delta )-\left(\sum _{i=0}^N{x}^2\right)|dy$$ $$\frac{d}{dx}{e}^{-ikx}\ne ik{e}^{-ikx}\frac{\sum _{i=1}^{\alpha }{\omega }^2{\delta }_{ij}}{\beta {\int }_{-1}^{x^{\frac{3}{2}}}\cos (x)dx}$$
When $a\ne 0$, there are two solutions to $a{x}^2+bx+c=0$ and they are $$x=\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$$
